Lindsay Lohan has had more than her share of the lime light the past couple years but very little of it has been for anything good. She’s been in multiple accidents, had blow ups in front of cameras, and been arrested for drugs and alcohol. As a result, her screen time in movies has all but disappeared. But she still loves to act and she has one last chance to follow that dream.
Oprah has stepped in and given Lindsay a chance to show that she is changing by giving her a docu-series (in most people’s minds, a reality show) on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The idea is to follow her recovery and her time out of rehab and hopefully, her road back to success . But really, is that what people will be watching for?
I certainly hope so, but no.. people are looking for the drama that Lindsay has come to be known for. And based on the preview, she’s going to give them that. In the 2-minute preview, we get a glimpse of Lindsay complaining about the cameras and making demands about where they can and cannot follow her. The camera crew standing out on the street because she won’t let them come up to her apartment. And even Oprah being driven in to New York to go and see Lindsay and remind her that this is her last chance. Oprah reminds Lindsay that she believes in her, but if the troubled star doesn’t want it, she can make it all stop and Lindsay can go on with her self-destruction.
LiLo will try to get her life together, get healthy and make a comeback in an 8-part series on OWN. It starts on March 9, this Sunday at 9 Central.
Everyone has a story and everyone deserves to have their story heard. People are rooting for you Lindsay! You once said:
“Say ‘no’ more than ‘yes,’ and just make sure you surround yourself with good people.”
Now, live by it. We know you can do this and we want to see you be victorious and live a happier life! Good luck Hunn!
