ways to look younger naturally

There’s no way around it, aging is a natural process that everyone will go through. Unfortunately, in a superficial world like ours, being young and beautiful is always in. I can understand most women’s desire to look younger. Make-up will instantly hide your imperfections and make your skin look younger. Today, I’ll be suggesting some preventive methods that can help slow down skin aging. But first, 7 ways to instantly achieve a natural-looking younger appearance:

Make-up Tips For a Younger Appearance

make up tips

avoid heavy make-up and stick to neutral colors..
Skip the powder. Powder tends to settle into fine lines.

Reduce the quantity of foundation and concealer you use, as these can seep into wrinkles, making them look deeper. The key to younger looking skin is to make it look NATURAL.

Avoid shimmery eye shadows. The shimmer highlights wrinkles and crinkly skin, while matte shadows blend into your skin and camouflage fine lines.

For a fresh youthful shine, use lip gloss. Gloss makes your lips look fuller. If your color bleeds, use lip liner. Lip liners also give your lips a more defined shape, making them stand out and look fuller.

Neutralize your face. What I mean is, avoid heavy make-up and stick to neutral colors. You’re aiming for balance. For instance, if you want to give your cheeks or lips a translucent red hue, then keep your eyes neutral by applying only mascara. If you want to play it up with dramatic eyes, keep your lips and cheeks neutral.

Fill in your eyebrows to make them more defined. It will make your eyes pop.

As women age, their cheeks tend to become concave because of collagen loss. Sweep blusher upwards on the apple of your cheek to create the illusion of fullness.

Preventive Measures From Head to Toe

For glowing, radiant skin, be sure to exfoliate your body every day..
Dull skin just does not scream YOUTHFUL. For glowing, radiant skin, be sure to exfoliate your body every day. Concentrate on the dead skin cells below your neck and on your upper arms, butt, and thighs. Use a scrub made of sea salt or sugar, which are gentle abrasives less likely to inflame your skin, and scrub the dead skin away to reveal glowing radiant new skin.

Increase the strength of your daily sunscreen from SPF 15 to 30. This may help prevent superficial skin damage and slow or prevent the development of wrinkles. Personally, I love using SPF 100+ from Neutrogena’s sunscreen line. SPF is the ability of a sunscreen to block UVB rays that cause sunburn, but not the UVA rays linked to deeper skin damage. However, using a higher  SPF rating may allow you to spend more time in the sun without reapplying;  some sunscreens also contain chemical filters which may partially block UVA rays.

wear sunscreen on your face to reduce sun damage and skin aging..
Large pores can add years to your age. Large pores are due to overactive oil production or accumulated sun damage, which cause the pores’ structural support to sag, making them look larger. If your problem lies with overactive oil production, refer back to my post on “How To Minimize Your Pores.” If your problem lies in poor structural support, try using microdermabrasion and chemical peels to remove the top layer of the skin. This will eliminate the widest part of the pores and make them appear smaller.

Wrinkles are an obvious sign of aging. To treat and slow down the development of wrinkles, use creams or serums containing retinol (a vitamin A compound) or vitamin A (pure form), these being antioxidants that break down skin cells and prevents wrinkles; copper peptides that stimulate collagen production; and kinetin to improve wrinkle appearance. Always remember to wear sunscreen on your face to reduce sun damage and skin aging!

anti wrinke cream

Your neck is the most overlooked body part and often shows the most signs of aging. Don’t forget to show your neck a little love with a daily gentle exfoliation and apply anti-wrinkle creams. My favorite thing to put on my neck is an Aloe Vera mask made from the Aloe Vera in my backyard. Aloe Vera has high potency anti-aging properties and leaves the skin feeling supple by nourishing and regenerating skin cells.

use a Carmol cream to hydrate your nails and a biotin supplement to strengthen them..
The same applies to your hands as to your neck. Remember to scrub your hands. Afterwards, apply a hand cream that contains humectants such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin to draw water into your skin.

Yellowing fingernails can add years to a woman’s apparent age because the yellowing is associated with illness and aging. The poor appearance of nails is due to vitamin and moisture deficiency, so use a Carmol cream to hydrate your nails and a biotin supplement to strengthen them.

Daily Routine

Changing your daily routine to incorporate healthy living will not only improve your health but also make you look younger.

Avoiding the sun and wearing sunscreen will offer some protection against skin cancer and help prevent wrinkles.

Eating lots of fruits and vegetables will give your body the antioxidants and nutrients it needs to generate skin cells.

Exercising gives your body a healthy glow and a toned body.

Drinking lots of water will keep your body hydrated.

Getting lots of sleep may prevent over-production of the hormone cortisone, which can cause reduced skin elasticity.
