When it comes to figuring out fashionable work outfits, we can all attest to the fact that it can be incredibly difficult to make it all come together. Stores are often extremely limited in their inventory with ‘work friendly attire’ and clothing that is work appropriate is less than exciting. Basic blazers and dress pants have finally been laid to rest this season , as several fashion designers at Nolcha Fashion Week F/W 2014 have focused their talents on corporate/business attire.
color and textures done right…
Thankfully, Jungwon has created a slue of looks that have been received very well by the fashion community. One look in particular had the model dawned in a beige trench, with oversized buttons paired with a deep brown ostrich clutch. Stunning!

go for black…
One thing that hasn’t changed is that black is still a go-to. You can never go wrong with a strong black. Coco famously was quoted as saying that:
Black is not only the most versatile and professional color in existence, but it is also incredibly slimming as well. It never goes out of style and is always on trend for season.

Jungwon featured another look with a matching blazer and skirt with lace detail, layered over a white blouse. Adding a bit of lux with a fur scarf and a matching black bag, a look like this can update your corporate while making it look très chic.

Stretch Jersey Embroidered Top, $170.00 at karenmillen.com
Pleat Lace Skirt, $199.00 at karenmillen.com
If your work requires more mobility on a particular day (or every day), then another of Jungwon’s might be a better fit. With an athletic but totally work appropriate feel – a long sleeve short-trench and black straight leg pants are more travel-friendly and allow for freer and more comfortable movement. Paired with a black scarf with a hint of green detail and matching oversize black bag, you can show your fashionable side all while looking professional. This is the very meaning of making your fashion work for you.

flats at work…
When it comes to shows, it has come to the attention of designers and consumers alike that high heels and pumps are not only overrated, but can become uncomfortable when wearing them through a typical work day. Sex and the City’s own Kristin Davis, the actress who played the conservative Charlotte, has spoken out against the high heel obsession and has since apologized to fans for encouraging them to squeeze their feet into the highest of heels.
“I do feel guilt about the heels,” said the 49-year-old star. “It did seem we were trying to say to women, you should be wearing heels like these,” while speaking in an interview with the Sunday Telegraph.
With runway looks featuring flat footwear in Jungwon’s, Karl Lagerfeld’s, and Chanel’s recent shows, stylish flats have been embraced this season from the likes of Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Cara Delevigne.
New to love (if you haven’t yet): Yosi Samra‘s Ballet Flats.
Nolcha Fashion Week F/W 2014 has truly taught us that when done right, style has no bounds. With pieces likes these from Jungwon’s runway, working women of the corporate world can be anything BUT boring when working this season.
